On October 20, 2020, volunteers from the Irvine branch of AYLUS hosted its ninth introductory history class for the fall session. We held the lesson on Zoom, and students, consisting of elementary and middle schoolers, had a great time participating.
Today we discussed World War 1 (the whole thing) including the causes of the war, the sides of the war, the US homefront, and the aftermath of the war. Our high accuracy shows that the students are learning the material, and we went over any other wrong answers and talked about why they are wrong. We had some questions as well during the Kahoot, which was good because that means our students are processing the material and learning the info.
