In August and September 2020, the East Cobb Branch of AYLUS held a total of 36 sessions Youth Tutoring activity online, in light of the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic. All tutoring activities are one-on-one and use Skype or Zoom to communicate. Six tutors spent 36 hours working with ten students from first to 6th grade.
We’ve changed our original tutoring program as libraries have closed due to the pandemic, and meeting students in person is no longer viable. As students need arguably more help during this period of school closures, we are giving kids our area an opportunity to receive help. The interaction between tutors and students also makes learning more enjoyable.
Attendance: Jack Xu (2 hours), Susanna Huang (2 hours), Faith Huang (6 hours), Terrence Xia (2 hours), Matthew Zhu (7 hours) and Jay Pan (17 hours).
