On August 29th, members of the Williamsville branch of AYLUS hosted their 12th reading group meeting for students entering grades 7-10 over Zoom. Over the course of the week, they created a slideshow that included both historical and cultural context related to their novel, Born a Crime. They’ll also be starting a new novel next week. They’re very proud of how much all the attendees have accomplished thus far and for completing their 2nd novel in the reading group. They hope that attendees will continue to improve and enhance their English and writing skills once the school year starts. Williamsville AYLUS will continue to hold reading group meetings.
