On July 22, 2020, student members of the Greater Princeton Branch of AYLUS (GPA), Kevin Song and Karen Yang, teamed up and taught kids from West Windsor in the subjects of math. The 1.5-hour class offered by GPA members Karen Yang and Kevin Song teach Pre-Algebra class to 6 kids: Kathy, Victor, Claire, Meisu, Claire, and Mia.
This week we continued to learn our Pre Algebra content. We first checked homework from last class and then answered all questions that the students may have had, which included doing problems similar to the picture, about the relationship between rate, distance and time. Next, we continued to go over the Quizzizz questions from last week which we didn’t get a chance to finish. These problems included ratios, rates and word problems. After that, the kids began to do the problems again by themselves to see if they could improve the scores. Then, we assigned homework for the next class. We’ll be having class on Sunday!
