Sugar Land Branch Produces Virtual Concert #1

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Sugar Land Branch has been unable to continue its usual weekly music performances at nursing homes. In response, members put together a virtual concert for the seniors consisting of a performance of “See You Again” by Charlie Puth. Because participants were to play together simultaneously in an ensemble, members firstly arranged a score for all the participating instruments, including violin, oboe, flute, bass, piano, and a vocal part. This step took roughly three hours. After the performers recorded their parts, members then edited the clips into a synchronous video, which took around five hours. The participating members were:

Arrangers: Albon Wu, Emma Jiang, Seth Gratz

Editors: Emma Jiang, Albon Wu

Performers: Albon Wu, Emma Jiang, Angela Wang, Nicole Wu, Sherry Huang, Andrew Lian, Serena Li, Tong Wang, Joshua Sun (1 hour)
