On Sunday, September 21st, youth volunteers from the AYLUS Houston branch gathered for a meaningful community project focused on crafting hand-made poppies in support of local veterans at the American Legion Auxiliary.. Over four dedicated hours, our team carefully assembled, shaped, and finalized dozens of vibrant red poppies to be distributed for upcoming remembrance events.
By handcrafting these iconic symbols of honor and memory, our members helped raise awareness for veterans’ services and supported crucial community outreach efforts. This session highlighted our volunteers’ meticulous attention to detail, strong collaboration, and deep respect for those who have served.
We are deeply grateful to our host organization for guiding our efforts and to our hardworking volunteers for their creativity and dedication. Whether assembling remembrance symbols, organizing supply drives, or supporting local service groups, AYLUS Houston looks forward to our next opportunity to give back!
