On July 3rd, 2019, the AYLUS Pearland Branch worked alongside the Pearland Parks and Recreation to prepare and decorate Independence Park for the July 4th festivities on the following day. The volunteers worked 2 hours from 9 am to 11 am. They walked back and forth throughout the field to hang bunting on the surrounding fences, working as a team to make sure the decorations were held in place. When the job was complete, the volunteers could appreciate their hard work by admiring the colorful decorations. The park was one step closer to being ready for the next day’s events.
