AYLUS Nationwide Fundraiser for KN95 Masks to Help Protect U.S. Health Care Workers

On March 19, 2020, the Greater Princeton branch of AYLUS (GPA) started a 48-hour flash fundraiser with our Alliance Youth Leadership Foundation (AYLF) among NY/NJ Chinese Community for KN95 masks.

On March 21, Princeton Medical Center gladly accepted 1,000 masks, while Plainsboro Rescue Squad, Montgomery EMS, and Planned Parenthood each accepted 100 masks, plus gloves and cleaning wipers.

Encouraged by GPA’s donation efforts, six branches joined GPA in a national fundraiser event for KN95 masks. Fairfax, VA raised funds for 500 masks, Lake Norman, NC for 500 masks, San Diego, CA for 1,000 masks, Great Lansing, MI for 3,000 masks, Phoenix, AZ for 1,000 masks, and East Cobb, GA for 1500 masks.

The smooth delivery of masks to each branch ensured prompt AYLUS branch donations to their local hospitals facing an extreme shortage in the supply.
