Sugar Land Branch Supports Neighborhood Seniors During COVID-19 Outbreak

On March 18, the Sugar Land Branch Junior Support Program led by our branch’s Junior Leader Alvin Zhou aided seniors in the area during the present coronavirus outbreak. All are prone to the effects of the virus, but seniors in particular are more vulnerable to its dangerous nature. Furthermore, when living away from their family, seniors oftentimes do not have the luxury of relying on their family members for support during such difficult times. The program’s efforts were undoubtedly beneficial and correspondingly appreciated for their profound impact on the people who need them most in our community. Inspired by the movement, a number of other junior citizens joined in on the program. In addition to the tangible benefits of the program, the seniors were very touched by the caring gestures.
