East Cobb Branch Youth Tutoring 2019-2020 XXVIII – East Cobb Library

On March 07, the East Cobb Branch of AYLUS held the East Cobb Youth Tutoring program at East Cobb Library. A total of 3 students showed up, with 2 tutors to help the students.

The East Cobb Branch holds the Youth Tutoring program every Saturday during school days, giving kids in the Cobb area an opportunity to receive help. The interaction between tutors and students also makes learning more enjoyable.

This time, maybe due to the Coronavirus alert, more and more students and parents are concerning the outbreak in the States. Some students cancelled or didn’t show-up. The tutors taught 3 elementary school students. The tutors worked on a variety of subjects with their students. The program gives students a comfortable environment to ask for help in academics such as math, reading, and writing.

Tutoring the children felt nice because we were able to see how thankful the parents were for the extra help. We were also able to use our knowledge from going through elementary, middle, and high school to teach them.

Attendance: David Qu (2 hours)
