On March 1, 2020, in the sunny afternoon, the Greater Princeton Branch of AYLUS (GPA) Humanitarian Care Team went to New Jersey Veterans Memorial Home to stick to their volunteer activities between 1pm and 5pm.
Spring is coming, although it is a little cold, the golden sunshine makes people feel vibrant. The GPA volunteers walked around the residents’ rooms, socialized with the seniors with flowers and gifts, news and stories. They also cared about the common sense of health protection of the elderly and prevent colds. Later the volunteers helped veterans go to the town square, joining the party “Karaoke with Keith”. The veterans had a great time with volunteers’ care. The volunteers also feel the joy of caring for others while serving the community.
