On November 24, 2019, the Phoenix branch put on a Thanksgiving concert at the Enclave Senior Living from 2:30-3:30PM. In total, there were 15 performances, 18 performers, and 3 hosts. In this concert, the branch put on a variety of performances ranging from singing, dancing, and a multitude of instrumental acts, including piano, harp, saxophone, violin, cello, and flute. Between each act, a host would briefly introduce the next act and something interesting or the history behind it. In the one hour event, the performers not only got to showcase their musical talents but also were able to meet new people and perform for an engaging audience. The seniors were delighted with the performances and the beautiful music. Giving them warm company for even just one hour was an exquisite experience for them.
Katherine Wei, Marina Hu, Michelle Yu, Michael Randolph, Michael Chen, Richard Cheng, Ethan Wei, Ryan Duan, Brian Qian, Audrey Zhang, Michael Duan, Ashley Zhao, Borong Zhang, Amy Xie, Jack Xie, Caleb Liu, Hannah Luo, Kaitlyn Ji, Erica Li, Alex Ji, and Sarah Li participated in this one hour event. The concert was very entertaining for the performers, the seniors, and others who came to watch. We hope to be able to put another show like this in the future!
