On November 9, the East Cobb Branch of AYLUS held East Cobb Youth Tutoring program at Mountain view library. A total of five students showed up, with two tutors to help the students.
The East Cobb Branch holds the Youth Tutoring program every Saturday during school days, giving kids in the Cobb area an opportunity to receive help. The interaction between tutors and students also makes learning more enjoyable.
This time, the tutors taught five students. Two were elementary school students and three of the students were in middle school. The tutors worked on a variety of subjects with their students. The program gives students a comfortable environment to ask for help in academics students such as math and reading
The tutors worked efficiently and worked mainly on reading comprehension and math. After the first session, one student did not show up, so Nicholas tutored a student for an extended one-hour session.
