On October 19, East Cobb Branch of AYLUS held East Cobb Youth Tutoring program at Mountain View Library. A total of four students showed up, with two tutors to help the students.
The East Cobb Branch holds the Youth Tutoring program every Saturday during school days, giving kids in the Cobb area an opportunity to receive help. The interaction between tutors and students also makes learning more enjoyable.
This time, the tutors taught four students. All of them were elementary school students. The tutors worked on a variety of subjects with their students. The program gives students a comfortable environment to ask for help in academics students such as math and language arts.
Despite it raining the whole day, the students came in prepared and ready to learn. Each session lasted longer than originally planned, from thirty minutes to forty-five minutes, so the students were able to completely finish all their work.
