On July 13, fifteen members of East Cobb Young Musicians performed at Arbor Terrace, Alto, and Solana Senior Centers for 3 hours and 30 minutes.
Members performed pieces such as “Star Spangled Banner”, and “What A Beautiful Name”. There were a variety of instruments played such as the piano, cello, violin and flute. Some members also performed pieces as duets and quartets. When we arrived at Arbor Ter, the seniors welcomed the members with excited faces . While the members performed, the seniors sometimes listened to the music quietly, sometimes with cheerful smiles, sometimes clapped along with the music. The members were delighted to be able to perform for such an amazing audience.
They were happy to be able to share their love of music with the seniors. At the end of the performance, Jack played the piano, Howard played the flute, while the rest of the members sang along to the song “Take Me Home, Country Roads”.
