On July 1, 2019, Greater Princeton AYLUS “Humanitarian Care” Team went to Changzheng Hospital in Shanghai to continue their summer volunteering activities.
They went to the Department of Endocrinology and helped clean and organize items in the room. Prior to communicating with patients, the volunteers learned about the prevention and health knowledge of related diseases in advance, in order to achieve targeted communication and guidance.
A 14-year-old patient, who had been playing electronic games, hiding in the corners, had positive communication with the volunteers and gave a happy smile. The youth volunteers also learned a lot during the activity and were more aware of the value of health.
