East Cobb Branch Youth Tutoring Programs are held at the two local libraries at the same time, here are the reports from each library:
- At the East Cobb Library
On April 20, 2019, the East Cobb Branch of AYLUS held Youth Tutoring program at East Cobb Library. A total of 10 students showed up, with 3 tutors to help the students.
The East Cobb Branch holds Youth Tutoring program every Saturday during school days, giving kids in the Cobb area an opportunity to receive help with their studies. The program gives students a comfortable environment to ask for help in academics. The interaction between tutors and students also makes learning more enjoyable.
This time, the tutors taught 8 elementary school students and 2 middle school students. The tutors worked on a variety of subjects with the students such as math, reading, and science.
2. At the Switzer Library
On April 20th, 2019 the East Cobb Branch of AYLUS held Youth Tutoring program at Switzer Library. A total of two students showed up, with two tutors to help the students.
The East Cobb Branch holds Youth Tutoring program every Saturday during school days, giving kids in the Cobb area an opportunity to receive help with their studies. The program gives students a comfortable environment to ask for help in academics. The interaction between tutors and students also makes learning more enjoyable.
This time, the tutors taught 2 elementary school students. They worked on a subject many struggle with, mathematics. The students had a much better grasp of the subject at the end of the tutoring session.
