Greater Princeton AYLUS (GPA), NJ Branch, has many talented members. Since December 11th, 2018, we started to feature some of them on our web page, so all GPA members get to know each other. Hopefully, it would also help with more constructive and collaborative teamwork among GPA members in our volunteer activities! So here comes one of our proud members Fengqi Wen:
Self-Introduction Provided by Fengqi Wen:
I am Fengqi Wen, a freshman in the Montgomery High School. As a teenager, I like reading, drawing, and listening to the music. When I feel stressful or depressed, I usually choose to read some interesting or listen to some pop music. I really like “Harry Potter”, “The Book Thief” and any books about history and geography.
As an energetic high schooler, I do have a lot of hobbies. For example, I play the clarinet in the band. I play quite a few sports, too: I was in the football team, and now I am in the basketball team; I play badminton and volleyball; I can swim very well. In addition, I play the game “Really Good Go”, and got a “4 Duan” ranking in Shanghai, China. In case you don’t know what it is, I would recommend you to look it up on Google, it’s a really fun game just like bro138!
I feel really good when I’m working within a group, because I’m always helpful and a kind person. I really want to help the community and people that need help with. The last and the most important thing I want to tell people about me is that, somebody might think that I look huge and hard to communicate with, but the truth is that I really like to make friends and I like to talk with my friends.
When I first heard of GPA, I immediately decided to sign up for it. I felt so blessed that I could found such a group that I would establish trust with all the members and really do some volunteering with. Now I’m very proud that I have been accepted as one of the GPA members. GPA offers the students around Greater Princeton a really good opportunity to spend time doing volunteering with friends (or not). I think we should let more people know about this organization so more teenagers can be benefitted from this and do more good for our community.
