San Diego Branch Organized 27th Computer for Kids Lab on July 6th, 2018

On July 6th, 2018, students from the San Diego Branch of AYLUS organized and participated in the 27th Computer for Kids Lab to repair electronic devices and give them to children of low-income families to help kids achieve academic success through technology.

The participants did the following:

  • 129 Tablets Scanned
  • 164 Tablets Placed in Sleeves
  • 14 Monitors Tested and Cleaned – Ready for Distribution
  • 28 Tablets Reset – Ready for Distribution
  • 126 Hard Drives Tested
So far, the San Diego branch students have accomplished the following since the first Computer for Kids Lab started:
  • Diagnosed, repaired, and tested 727 notebooks/netbooks/laptops/tablets/desktops
  • Tested and repaired 54 LCD monitors
  • Diagnosed and tested 126 hard drives
  • Wrapped/folded, sorted, and packed 682 mice, and power cords/adaptors

The following volunteers participated: William Lai, Daniel Li, Samuel Li, Andrew Peng, Joshua Trost, Emily Wang, Kevin Wang, Michael Wang, Richard Wu,  Eric Xu, Jason Xu, Ricky Xu, Claude Yan, Amanda Zhang, Andrew Zhang, Alan Zhu, and Brian Zhu.

The AYLUS San Diego Committee organized the 27th Computer for Kids Lab.
