On March 17, 2018, AYLUS Pearland hosted a successful garage sale fundraising. 15 AYLUS members attended the sale preparation and sales event.
All items for the garage sale came from the donations of AYLUS families. Collected items include jeans, sports clothes, shoes, toys, and household items. Members also donated kid bicycles and a treadmill. The support of donors allowed AYLUS to collect hundreds of items this year.
AYLUS Pearland Branch decided to host the third garage sale this year in order to help our local school. Because of the success garage sale events in the previous two years had, more volunteers than before were eager to participant in the event. The 15 high school and junior members spent an afternoon at the preceding sale to select and organize the clothes, set up tables, and label prices in the small space of a family garage.
On the sales day, volunteers got up early to come to prepare everything ready so that the sale could begin early. The garage sale successfully raised $400. All money goes to Pearland Junior High West Math and Science Club to support their club activities.
Our volunteers and also donated items include: Jin Wang, Jerry Gu, Vincent Yang, Tony Liu, Andy Jiang, Terry Guo, Kate Liu, Andy Gu, Karen Lu, Jayden Lu, Jenny Chen, Hans Wang, Donna Liu, Jason Jiang and Allen Jiang.
Additional donors include Benjamin Liang, Annee Zhu, Michelle Mayer, Catherine Bai, Edward & Eric Qi and Kevin Chen.
