AYLUS Pearland Branch hosted their first Youth Tennis Summer Lessons from June 9th to August 20th this year. Every Saturday or Sunday, volunteers would coach 3 groups of children ages 7-12 at the local tennis courts. Under the hot weather, the 11 coaches worked together to teach all the attendees how to hit forehands, backhands, and volleys. The coaches dedicated their free time to help their students learn and improve upon their tennis skills each week. It also allowed the children to develop an interest in tennis early, which could be a useful skill later on in life. This event was overall a success and an inspiring learning experience for all who participated.
