On July 4th, AYLUS Pearland volunteered with Pearland Parks and Recreation to celebrate America’s 241st birthday. 15000 citizens showed up to Pearland Stadium making this the biggest event that AYLUS annually volunteers at. This year our volunteers helped out with shuttling and worked the inflatables in the Kidz Zone. Commandeering over 4 inflatables, AYLUS ushered hundreds of kids in and out of the inflatables, bringing joy to each of their days. AYLUS worked from 5:15-8:45 pm until it was time for the fireworks.
Following a memorable display of fireworks, AYLUS happily got back to work directing some 13000 or so visitors out of the stadium and to their respected transportation vehicles. This year was the smoothest shuttle transportation yet; congrats to AYLUS members and Parks volunteers! Finally, at the end, AYLUS helped take down the decorations in the stadium to conclude a tiring yet eventful and fun night.
