On April 16th, 2017, the AYLUS Pearland Branch worked alongside the Pearland Youth Soccer Academy (PYSA) to host an Easter egg hunt open to families of all ages at the Pearland Rogers middle school soccer fields. This was the second Easter egg hunt offered by AYLUS Pearland Branch.
This amazing fun featured 1500 plastic eggs and fillers provided by PYSA and AYLUS families. At the beginning of this event, all eggs and fillers were separated into four groups. AYLUS volunteers spent one hour putting candies and toys into eggs, and then hid them all over the four soccer fields. The Roger’s soccer fields were covered in eggs of all sizes and colors. At 6:00PM, hundreds of excited children of all ages lined up along the starting line and could hardly wait the call. As the time the “Go” signal blared across the fields, kids rushed in with their colorful baskets and all eggs had been picked up in about three minutes. The fields were filled with smiling, happy faces.
The AYLUS members who volunteered at this event were: Tony Liu, Kevin Chen, Adith Ram, Fred Guo, Andy Jiang, Janie Chen, Luxin Peng, Karen Lu, Jayden Lu, Yingxin Wei, Evan Du, Andrew Du, Kathy Liang, Daniel Ling, Edwing Ling, Ethan Chen, Iris Chen, Ben Liang, Thomas Liang, Kevin Song, Kevin Tong, Jerry Tong, Aaron Cheng, Grace Liu, Tiffany Nguyen, Nick Doan, Katherine Zhong, Andy Fu, and Jerry Gu.
