To achieve the vision of empowering young leaders in our community to take action, develop leadership skills, and experience the satisfaction of service above self, the AYLUS San Diego Branch elected its new 2026–2027 Branch Committee in April 2026 and organized a leadership team conference and transition event on August 22, 2026.
During the meeting, members of the new leadership team introduced themselves and presented the programs and service projects they plan to lead in the coming year. The leaders exchanged experiences and ideas from previous volunteer activities, discussed potential service opportunities, and explored ways to encourage greater participation among branch members.
The meeting also provided an opportunity for the outgoing and incoming leadership teams to share knowledge and ensure a smooth transition. Members discussed how to strengthen existing programs, develop new community service initiatives, improve communication and collaboration, and provide more opportunities for young volunteers to take leadership roles.
The event concluded with a group discussion and a shared commitment to continue expanding the San Diego Branch’s positive impact on the community.
