AYLUS Great Neck Branch Volunteers Play Sports with Kids at Firefighters Park 63rd (6/12/26)

On June 12th, 2026, volunteers came to firefighter park to play sports with the kids there. It was a hot day with activities being done in the shade. Activities such as playing catch and swinging were low maintenance and less demanding to avoid the heat. Those who didn’t decide to participate decided to socialize with the others. This was able to keep them entertained while also building communication skills.

As summer is starting to approach it is important to stay hydrated throughout the day. These days will start to become more consistent and hotter as time goes. It is, however, a great opportunity to get more active and figure out new ways to enjoy it such as playing a new sport or learning a hobby. Volunteers of AYLUS will continue to host these events to be able to enjoy the summer to its fullest.
