Today at Fellowship Village, volunteers helped with several questions. Some of these included how to delete a message, and delete an email. There was also a question on the difference between the use of both apps, and the difference between texting and messages is. There were questions on how to see a missed call, delete spam texters, and send a text. There was a senior who wanted to pause a video, which the volunteer helped by telling them to press the pause button in the middle. The senior also had questions on how to share a photo which the volunteer taught them to cluck the three point triangle shape on top of the photo (for samsung) then go to messages and scroll till they found the contact. Another senior had issues on why calls were not going through, turning off two factor verification on AOL and making reservations for dinner. Another customer asked for help on deleting email and recovering different works. The volunteer also went over how alarms work and recording calls.
Our members helped seniors feel a sense of belonging into the new modern age of technology. The volunteers also talked and engaged with the seniors, learning what it truly means to be part of a community.
