AYLUS Great Neck Branch Tutoring at Station Library 104th (4/23/26)

On April 23rd, Great Neck AYLUS hosted another successful tutoring session at the Great Neck Library Station Branch from 6:00-7:00 pm. Junlin assisted a high school student with acids and bases in chemistry. They solved multiple-choice problems that varied in acidity and basicity. It was definitely a challenge, but the questions were completed at the end. Next, Jason helped a third-grade student with fraction conversion problems. He worked with the student not only on solving fractions but also on converting them from unsimplified to simplified forms. Xingzhi also worked on mathematics. They explored a variety of problems, like questions that may seem difficult at first, but finding simpler procedures significantly sped up completing the questions. However, finding these solutions may require additional thought and practice. Then Brian helped a student with French studies. They translated many different vocabulary words into French and matched them. Subsequently, Summer worked on mathematics studies. This time, she helped with problems involving many shapes. Then worked with a younger student on the 5th-grade state test, which the student solved with little difficulty. Lastly, Linzi helped an even younger student with English. They focused on reading, spelling, and pronouncing multiple essential vocabulary words for writing. Overall, it was another productive session at the library. Everyone finished their work enthusiastically and went home on time.
