The Aylus Morris Branch partnered with Moms Helping Moms to organize a meaningful community drive focused on collecting diapers for families in need. Recognizing that diapers are an essential yet often costly necessity, members worked together to support local families by gathering supplies that would provide immediate and practical assistance. This initiative reflected the branch’s ongoing commitment to community service and addressing real needs with thoughtful action.
To encourage participation, members reached out across their neighborhood, inviting friends, families, and local residents to contribute. Through strong teamwork and effective outreach, they successfully collected approximately 180 diapers. Each donation represented not only a necessary resource for families, but also the generosity and compassion of the community. The drive also helped raise awareness about diaper insecurity and the importance of supporting organizations that provide essential care items.
The project included two organized drop-offs to ensure efficient distribution. On April 10 at 4:00 PM, members delivered part of the collection to The Connection in Summit. A second drop-off took place on April 12 at 12:00 PM at the Chatham Library. These coordinated efforts ensured that the donations were promptly transferred to the Moms Helping Moms network, allowing families to access the supplies without delay.
Overall, this initiative demonstrated the leadership, collaboration, and dedication of the Aylus Morris Branch members. From planning and collection to final delivery, each step reflected a strong commitment to making a positive impact. Their partnership with Moms Helping Moms highlights how collective community efforts can provide meaningful support and strengthen connections among local families.
