On March 8, 2026, members of the Chapel Hill Branch baked homemade cookies for Meals on Wheels, an organization that provides meals and support to seniors while helping address hunger in the local community. Volunteers prepared the cookies in their own kitchens, carefully baking several batches and helping organize them for distribution.
The cookies were meant to be a small addition to the meals delivered to seniors, offering a simple treat and a reminder that members of the community are thinking of them. Through this activity, volunteers contributed their time and effort to support the work of Meals on Wheels and help bring a little extra warmth to those receiving the meals.
Volunteers who participated in this event were: Alwin Liu (6 hours baking and 1 hour packing), Andrew Zhao (6 hours), Camille Wang (4.5 hours), and Leah Yang (6 hours).
