Murrieta AYLUS Helps Local Food Bank (88th) (8/5+ 8/7/2025)

Reported by Jessica Lu

On August 5th and 7th, Murrieta AYLUS members returned to their weekly food bank work.

Members signed in on the computers before starting by putting on gloves and going to their separate stations. Some members worked in the fresh produce area and some worked in the food box making area. In the fresh produce area, members bagged meats and avocados for the food boxes before helping sort through produce. The rotten/spoiled produce was thrown in the farm box for the pigs to eat later. At the food boxing area, members helped pack desserts and 3 breads into each box. Then, they rolled it outside for the group there to load the cars. Members repeated this process until it was time to clean up. They had lots of fun and will return soon.
