Reported by Julie Lu :
On September 16th, 2023, Murrieta AYLUS members lent a hand to STAT Horse Sanctuary. A few days earlier, the members bought 6 bags of horse feed at a local animal feed store. On Saturday, the members arrived at STAT with 300 pounds worth of horse feed and slowly brought them in one by one. After placing them in the storage area, the members headed out to the fields. Their task today was to transfer the piles of debris near the pens to a farther pile, so as to keep the flies as far away from the house as possible. The members worked tirelessly, loading each wheelbarrow up before taking turns dumping several yards away. Seeing that it was almost time for them to leave, the members finished filling and dumping the last few wheelbarrows before bringing the barrows and tools back to their respective storage areas. The members couldn’t resist giving the sanctuary’s cat, Meows, several pats.
