On September 16, 2023, Murrieta AYLUS conducted a park cleanup at Meadows Park.
They split into two groups to maximize efficiency and went to different sides of the park. The grass and bushes had small discarded pieces of wrappers and people had thrown larger food wrappers inside the bushes. The volunteers fished them out, and crossed the grass while picking up a few smaller pieces of trash. The groups met at the other side of the park, then the volunteers went over to the playground together. They found small pieces of food wrappers and bandages, alongside other discarded trinkets. They then looped around the parking lot, finding more plastic pieces and some discarded cigarette bits. After all the waste the collected, the volunteers threw the bags into the trash together.
