On the afternoon of July 15 at 1:00 PM, AYLUS Morris Branch partnered with the United Methodist Church to organize a community service event focused on fighting hunger and supporting local families in need. Through the dedication and generosity of our members and community supporters, we collected over 25 pounds of canned and nonperishable food to help provide essential resources for hunger relief programs.
After collecting the donations, AYLUS volunteers delivered the food to the designated food distributor, where the items will be sorted and distributed to families and individuals facing food insecurity. This effort helped ensure that nutritious food items reached community members who rely on local support networks.
Hunger remains a significant challenge for many families, and community food drives play an important role in providing assistance to those who need it most. By participating in this event, AYLUS members gained a deeper understanding of the importance of service, collaboration, and compassion. Even a small contribution can create a meaningful impact when community members work together toward a common goal.
