On June 28, 2026, the AYLUS Great Neck Branch volunteered at Kings Point Park once again to help clear and smooth the walking trails. Although we had a smaller group, everyone worked incredibly hard to complete an entire pathway within two hours.
For today’s event, we focused on a different section of the park, located deeper into the woods—it took nearly 15 minutes just to walk from the parking lot to our designated work area. Our primary task remained leveling the mulch along the trails and removing large, obstructive wood chips from the path. This work is essential because it makes the trails much safer, allowing park staff to drive maintenance vehicles smoothly and ensuring that visitors enjoy a better, safer experience in nature.
This project continues to be a wonderful way for us to connect with nature and communicate with one another while working. It serves as a great opportunity to spend time outdoors while actively contributing to the community, enhancing both the safety and beauty of the park. Moving forward, we will keep working hard on this project to improve the park’s trails. This directly reflects the mission of AYLUS: to serve the community through hands-on projects that provide convenience, assistance, and care to the people around us.
