Our members worked in two teams, one played piano for the seniors in the library, while the other worked in the ice cream parlor, serving ice cream to the seniors.
As our members performed, the music filled the building with the melodic sound of the piano with the beautiful singing of the seniors. The seniors chose to relax with a scoop of ice cream, or came into the library to sing along or read. Some just sat in the building by the fireplace listening to the unique but beautiful melodies drift through the building. It was a wonderful experience seeing how with just a scoop of ice cream and a few old time hits on the piano can put a smile on everyone’s faces and brighten everyone’s afternoon.
