Reporter: Austin

On Sunday, June 21 of 2026, from 10:30 to 1:30 EST, 4 members of the AYLUS Roslyn visited C.P Nassau residents at their Bayville location. C.P. Nassau has been supporting many individuals with disabilities for over 75 years and it provides various services including medical and primary care, therapy, education, etc. and it also has places like the location

We started the day off by doing the morning warm up activity with the Bayville residents. After that the volunteers started pushing the residents outside, in preparations for celebrating the birthdays of the residents. After getting everybody set up, the DJ set up his booth, and everyone started celebrating. The residents enjoyed the food and had a wonderful time celebrating. After being outside for about 2 hours, and after the party ended, the volunteers started pushing the residents back into the facility. Volunteering at CP Nassau continues to inspire us to help the residents of these locations. It allows for us to talk and connect with individuals with disabilities, offering companionship and also our support while also encouraging patience, strengthening teamwork, and kindness. We look forward to our next visit and another opportunity to bring smiles to the residents of CP Nassau!
