On Thursday, June 18th, AYLUS volunteers gathered once again at the Great Neck Library Station Branch to help students with a variety of subjects. Brian spent the session working with a sixth grader on math problems and probability concepts, walking them through different problem types and helping strengthen their understanding, with Junlin lending a hand throughout the session. Meanwhile, Summer, Brendan, and Linzi teamed up to support an elementary schooler, engaging them in reading exercises alongside drawing activities to keep the session interactive and fun. Overall, the tutoring session was a success, with volunteers and students alike walking away having learned something new and enjoyed a productive afternoon together.
