Volunteers welcome back students to LISOC after winter break and make sure the learning environment stays sharp. They did various tasks to not only assist students but the teachers as well.

This event included grading classwork/homework. Using volunteers’ knowledge to accurately check students’ work. Additionally, material sorting and preparing necessary items, such as expo markers and erasers. Finally, volunteers keep students on task constantly checking their work and behaviors. This allowed teachers to smoothly teach without disruptions.

In summary, partnering with the school gave volunteers a chance to assume leadership roles as assistant teachers and benefitted the students’ education.

Volunteers: Jason Chen (3.5 hours), Ru Xue Jiang (3 hours), Bryan Fan (3 hours), Jonathan Fan (3 hours),  Ming Chen (3 hours), Lilian Chen (2 hours)
