On 1/6/24, members of AYLUS Syosset attended a meeting at the Bayard Cutting Arboretum to discuss the new years’s voluntary arrangements by the Saturday Stewardship group and affiliated organizations. The meeting started off with a brief review of the past year of the Stewardship Saturday group as well as its accomplishments in the three and a half years it has been active. Then it moved on to introduce the agencies, corporations, and organizations as well as significant contributors to the meeting. The events currently being run were then introduced such as the Stewardship Saturdays, Trout Wednesday, citizen science opportunities, internship and job shadowing opportunities and more. The meeting ended with networking as the groups and individual volunteers socialized.
