The volunteers primary responsibility at the school was to assist in grading students’ classwork and homework assignments. This allowed the teacher more time to focus on classroom instruction and individual student needs.

Volunteers helped maintain a productive learning environment by monitoring students’ behavior and encouraging them to stay focused on their assignments. Through reminders and suggestions, the volunteers ensured that students remained engaged in their work.

They also provided support by addressing students’ questions about their assignments. This involved explaining concepts, clarifying instructions, and offering guidance to help students better understand the material. These interactions created active learning and enhanced students’ understanding.

Finally, volunteers also supported the teacher with various administrative and organizational tasks as needed. These included preparing teaching materials, arranging classroom resources, and assisting with classroom cleanup.

This volunteer opportunity highlighted the importance of effective communication and assistance when working in a classroom setting.
