North Fulton AYLUS Helps Relieve Food Insecurity in the Local Community at Meals by Grace

Throughout the summer and into the school year, North Fulton branch of AYLUS volunteered at Meals by Grace, lending a helping hand in their mission to bring food, hope & transformation to children and families in need. To address the food insecurity in our local community, three of our dedicated members worked in both the kitchen and in the community. We participated in packaging food, specifically working with frozen meats, ensuring that they were properly prepared for distribution. Additionally, we diligently organized the inventory, making it easier to manage and locate food items. Another aspect of our volunteer work was conducting pick-up traffic and loading delivery cars, ensuring that each vehicle was efficiently packed with the necessary food supplies–ready to be sent off to local families. Our efforts culminated in personally delivering the food to underserved families, bringing sustenance and support directly to their doorsteps. With our collective dedication, we hope to ensure that these families are happy, not hungry!
