Frisco & Plano branch held a fundraiser event for Libraries With Love at Dallas Middle School Baseball Summer Smash on June 6th, 2023

Reported by Jenny Wang

Recently MSM (Middle School Matchup) held a summer baseball tournament in Harold Bacchus Community Park in Frisco.  The tournament was from 8AM to 9PM on June 6th and 7th. We thought it was an excellent opportunity for our fundraiser event for the Libraries With Love project.

On the morning of June 6th,  we first bought ice, purified water and mixed the lemonade. Then we gathered together at Harold Bacchus Community Park.  This time we didn’t offer shaved ice as the park’s concession stand already offered it.  The best seller was definitely the cotton candy.  We offered four flavors,  pink vanilla, watermelon, green apple and blue raspberry.  Blue raspberry flavor was so popular it was almost sold out.  Our handmade gemstone bracelets were very popular as well. Most girls loved the pink rose quartz bracelet for its beautiful color and reasonable price.  We did our best and greeted every person passing by our lemonade stand.  Some parents scanned our branch website’s QR code on our poster and understood the purpose of our fundraising.  It was the first time we held a fundraiser at Harold Bacchus Community Park. It was such a nice experience as far as the visitors flow rate, the location of power outlets, and the covered picnic and rest area for summer time.  We would definitely hold our fundraiser again in Harold Bacchus Community Park.
