AYLUS Orlando Branch, Jamestown Park Renovation #4 (November 4th, 2022)

Reported by Dylan Wang

On November 4th, 2022, the AYLUS Orlando branch cleaned up Jamestown park post-hurricane (once again) and picked up lots of weeds, branches, and sticks, piling everything up in trash bags within the span of 2 hours. Jamestown Park is a 1-acre park located south of Oviedo in the Jamestown community. Amenities include a playground and a basketball court. The Cross Seminole Trail is also less than 1 mile to the north of the park.

The participants did the following:

  • Pick up roughly 20 full bags of debris from the area of the entire park. Most of the debris was piled rather than bagged
  • Weed the playground and clean up a lot of rogue debris that was scattered throughout the area
  • Took care of a fallen tree at the corner of the back park.

This is the fourth cleanup. This event occurred on November 4th, 2022.

These people participated in the Jamestown park volunteer activity, 2 hours for following each person: Dylan Wang, Nikolas Polsinelli, Zachary Kleiman, Kevin Wang, Nicholas Kogon, Zixuan Chen.
