Greater Princeton AYLUS Prepares for Its Fifth Youth Benefit Concert & Arts Show (5th) in November 2022

In November, with the Benefit Concert becoming alive in a month, the Greater Princeton Branch of AYLUS (GPA) prepared for its 5th Youth Benefit Concert & Arts Show in the Large Chapel at Fellowship Deaconry (3575 Valley Rd, Basking Ridge, NJ 07920), scheduled for December 10th, 2022, from 10-5 pm.

GPA has independently hosted 4 successful youth benefit concerts & art shows, one for Ms Su Wei battling cancer, one for Princeton First Aid & Rescue Squad (PFARS) to support its Campaign for the Future with a new headquarters, and two to support local first responder heroes in January and June 2022. Our members worked hard to raise over $5000 for Ms Su Wei, $5000 for PFARS, and $10,000 for the Meals from the Heart projects.

Starting in December 2018, GPA members have hosted over 120 Save a Life events to help people in need, with many fundraising and donation drives. Now it’s time for us to continue our Youth Benefit Concert program to help save more lives.

The 5th Youth Benefit Concert & Arts Show is to raise funds to End Alzheimer’s. Members will use the funds collected to support local senior living centers, first aid rescue squad, ambulance & firefighters. Details of the concert are on the posters. A signup starts right away, with the list growing longer and longer!

The Arts Show is occurring at the same location on the same day, to help End Alzheimer’s. GPA Vice-President Lana Cheng is hosting the Arts Show, with her Arts for Life Committee members.

On November 6th, the Benefit Concert Committee hosted a kickoff meeting (11/6, 2 hrs for all) to determine all details on who to prepare for what. The meeting was organized by AYLUS National President and GPA Co-President Kevin Chen & GPA CPO Jerry Chen, together with GPA CPO Victor Yu, Vice Presidents Lana Cheng, Andrew Yao & Steven Li, and other leaders, including Xing Liao, Tian Liao, Zichen Ling, Katherine Shi, Meiqi Tan, Christopher Cao, Katherine Zhu, Dawson Lin, and more.

GPA members Xing Liao (11/5, 1 hr) & Tian Liao (11/5, 1 hr) prepared for their piano/saxophone duet pieces.

GPA member Christopher Cao (11/7, 2 hrs) created a Google form to collect performance piece information and music.

GPA member Katherine Zhu (11/7, 2 hrs) collected sponsors information to be included in the benefit concert program.
