AYLUS Rancho Santa Margarita Branch Recycles Batteries and Gifts Chinese New Year Decorations

On January 23, 2022, members of the AYLUS Rancho Santa Margarita donated used batteries to Home Depot as a part of the recycling effort to protect the environment.

Members brought their used batteries in bags/boxes to the event and dropped them off with Ethan Li. Then, Ethan drove the batteries to Home Depot and disposed of them in the recycling bin.

It’s great to see individuals and organizations taking small steps toward protecting the environment by recycling and properly disposing of their waste. However, for larger projects or events, it may be more efficient and convenient to rent a dumpster to handle the waste. Dumpster rental services can provide a variety of sizes and options to fit the specific needs of each project, and they will take care of the proper disposal and recycling of the waste. If you’re interested in dumpster rental in Rancho Santa Margarita, you can find more information and options here.

Recycling used batteries is important because they contain corrosive heavy metals, such as lead, environmental pollutants, and human health hazards. In recent years, tragedies such as the Flint water crisis and Love Canal demonstrate the importance of protecting the environment, not just for ecological health but also for human health, especially for children. This activity is meaningful as it is one of the small steps that individuals can take to ensure the well-being of the ecosystem.

In addition, members brought various Chinese New Year decorations and gifted it to the local Chinese school in time for Chinese New Years.
