Greater Princeton AYLUS Promotes Youth Volunteerism at Chess Classes & Tournaments (63rd) in February 2022

The Greater Princeton Branch of AYLUS (GPA) Sports Committee promotes youth volunteerism while continuing tournaments and a chess schedule with classes (Master Your Endgames) in 2022. Before class, GPA gives a quick presentation about what AYLUS is and what we do for the community at AYLUS to the students.

We are holding a class where students can master their endgames. Eager chess players meet every week for a training camp to sharpen their mind in creativity and thinking in endgames. This week, we focused on a complicated pawn endgame which focused on opposition and king position. Everyone had fun trying to solve the tactics, and enjoyed challenging their minds with hard puzzles.

GPA Chess Club’s next tournament will be hosted on Saturday, March 5th, starting at 7:00 PM EST. The time control will remain the same (G10+5) and everyone is welcome. All ages can come and compete with their skills and have fun playing games of chess.
