Greater Princeton AYLUS Honors Firefighter Heroes (9th) in Hightstown Marking the 20th Anniversary of 9/11

The 20th anniversary of 9/11 is coming. The terrorist attacks killed 2,977 people and injured thousands at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and in Somerset County, Pennsylvania. Americans host commemorative events at all three sites on the anniversary of the attacks.

Firefighters and their families sacrifice a lot to save lives, who deserve our honor and respect, especially at this memorial moment. In September, the Greater Princeton branch of AYLUS (GPA) continued an event called “Meals from the Heart”. GPA members honor our firefighter heroes in our community in our unique way.

On September 9th, GPA member Xinyi Christine Zhang (4 hrs) organized a “Meals from the Heart” event for local firefighters. GPA members (1 hr for all), including Nicole Liu, Cici Yang, and Vivien Yang, Wenhui Liu, Yichao Zhang, and more, joined the organizer for the event, hand delivering the meals to the Hightstown Volunteer Firefighters (140 N Main Street, Hightstown, NJ 08520).

More donation events are coming in September throughout the state of New Jersey!
