Greater Temecula Valley AYLUS Hosts a Music Recital at a Local Senior Center in July 2021

On July 30th, 2021, Greater Temecula VAlley AYLUS (GTVA) members Ally Negulescu (3 hrs), Adora Xiao (3 hrs), Kaitlyn Hetsko (3hrs), Jessica Lu (3 hrs) and a friend Sunny Xiao visited and hosted a music recital at their local senior center!

To say that “everyone enjoyed it today” would be an understatement… not only did WE have a lot of fun, but our audience also really enjoyed today’s concert! When members first arrived to the venue, everyone gathered together to check in. We first presented our Covid Vaccination Cards and then got our temperatures taken, and then, members quickly trotted on down to the library, where the concert was held. By the time we got there, we already had a bustling crowd awaiting us! Everyone quickly set their music stands up, opened the piano lid, and kicked off the program right away!

Today’s recital featured 2 instruments, which were piano and violin. We first started the program off with Jessica playing Bach 804 Duetto III and Bach 805 Duetto IV followed by Adora playing Gluck Medolie on the violin! Next up, Ally played a piece written by a friend called “Sounds of the Human World” on the piano with Adora following up playing Glier Valse on the violin. For the rest of the program, we had Sunny playing Liszt Liebestraum on piano, Adora playing Rhode Concerto No. 8 on violin, Kaitlyn playing Chopin Nocturne in g minor, and Adora playing Schubert Variations and Musica Ricercata. To end the program, Ally and Adora did a surprise encore performance/duet together to hype up the crowd!

After the performance, members received a ton of (maybe even TOO much) positive feedback from the audience, and was even invited back several times for another recital! Everyone truly enjoyed the experience today, and members are already planning another date to go back for another recital!
