Greater Princeton AYLUS Hosts Workshop for Young Writers (6th) in May 2021

Does your middle schooler love to write? Do they want the opportunity to grow that passion and discuss their writing with qualified mentors? If so, Young Writers Workshop at the Greater Princeton branch of AYLUS (GPA) is the answer!

On May 5th for 2 hours, two writing enthusiasts, GPA members Karen Yang and Eliana Du, met virtually, and will continue doing so every Wednesday, with middle schoolers to write, explore, conference, and create. Class was online, through the software “Google Meets.”

This week was when Christina Li, published middle grade author of Clues to the Universe, talked to us! She discussed her writing inspiration, her misconceptions surrounding the publishing process, her true publishing process and many more topics. Students found her story engaging and motivating! We’ll be having normal class next week!

Our meetings are also insanely flexible; drop in whenever you want and attendance isn’t mandatory for every week. Some other events we have are talking with authors and writing competitions, so sign up at https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSek_4xbog5f0dlPocvBP3bgERQvnn_X0EXo5kcIbk1AL9VPUg/viewform?usp=sf_link
