Greater Princeton AYLUS Continues Bilingual Tutoring Program (32nd) in February 2021

The Greater Princeton Branch of AYLUS (GPA) students continue their Bilingual Tutoring Program in February. The program allows GPA members to provide reading, writing, speaking, math, and communication to their students across the country.

They had conversations over various video calling platforms, such as Zoom or Facetime, with students about topics they are interested in, such as movies, games, and school. Their bilingual tutoring activities included:

GPA member Catherine Feng (2/7, 2 hrs) managed the tutoring program. Catherine Feng also taught her student Brandon English and Math for 1 hour on Sunday, 2/7, from 4:30 – 5:30 pm.

Elizabeth Jia prepared her lesson and taught her students English through reading comprehension for two hours on Saturday, 2/6.

Feiying Qian and Siquan Qiu teamed up to teach their student English through conversations for 2 hours on Saturday, 2/6, from 1:00-3:00 pm.

Ruofei Olivia Mao tutored her student Summer for 2 hours on Sunday, 2/7, from 1 to 3 pm, focusing on making stories and writing about snow.

Anthony F Yang taught his 9-year-old student reading and writing for 2 hours on Sunday, 2/7, teaching from 5:30 – 6:15 pm and preparing class materials and lesson plans for 45 minutes.

GPA members Abigail Bao (2/5, 2 hrs; 2/7, 2 hrs) and Angela Bao (2/5, 2 hrs; 2/7, 2 hrs) also taught her students in the subjects of English reading and writing, focusing on story-telling.
